About us

What We Do

We dive! We try to do about two dives a month. North Carolina is known as the Ship Graveyard of the Atlantic because of about 3000 shipwrecks that cover our coast. We also travel to Wake Forest to dive Fantasy Lake Scuba Park, where there are sunken planes, cars, boats, and more. During Campus breaks, we try to go change up our routine and go somewhere out of state. We save our big trip for Spring Break; going to places like the Florida Springs or anywhere in between.

Other than diving, we try to get involved by participating in Homecoming, Intramurals, canned food drives, Toys-for-Tots, highway clean ups and other community services and volunteering opportunities.

We are a Scuba family. We hang out and have socials at each other’s houses all the time. We get together to attend local dive shop interest meetings or presentations. Basically, if there is anything Scuba related going on, we do it together.

Payments

$85 per semester

After paying dues, you will still have to pay for dives and trips, but they will be greatly discounted. Joining this club allows you to participate in adventures at prices that you will probably never have the opportunity to take advantage of after you graduate.

You are not eligible to participate on any club funded trip until you have paid dues. Please email us if you have any questions.

We need a copy of:

  • All your certifications

  • Your Dive Insurance Card

  • Your Medical History Questionnaire

  • Your signed Release and Waiver

Be prepared to fill out and sign more documentation at the next meeting. Please email us about your interest so we can prepare that paperwork for you.

If you do not yet have Dive Insurance, you can click on the “DAN” button below to be directed to the Divers Alert Network site to purchase their Dive Insurance.

All required documentation must be submitted before you are eligible to dive or participate in any club funded event. Please email us if you have any questions.

Resources

If you are not Scuba Diver Certified, here are some options:

  • You can take the Basic Scuba Diving Class offered at ECU (KINE 2278)

  • You can go through a local dive shop

  • You can go through a private instructor. Locate an instructor in greenville by clicking the "Search Instructors" button below.

You can still join the club and participate in events if you are not Scuba Diver Certified, but you will not be able to breathe off of a regulator until you are certified.
